Do you have to cite page number of quote that you use in essay intro?





Hey everyone. I'm using a quote from a book in my essay for English class. I am using it as the hook (first sentence) of my essay. Do I need to parenthetically cite the quote's page number as usual?Thanks :)

    If it didn’t come from your brain, meaning that someone else said it, then yes you do need to cite it with the page or paragraph number.
